The clause as it appealed in the Bi)! spoke of the capital value existing to-day, but it should have been tlio capital value op 3rd August 1914. The Bill was read a second- time on the voices, an.d on being committed was amended ip the direction indicated by Sir f’. Bell apd was read >’a third time am} passed. " Tjj t e Council pose at 5.8 fill 8 p.m. on Monday. THE HOUSE. •The House met at 2.30 p.m. The afternoon sitting was occupied bv purely formal business. In the evening the House was occupied with a debate on the Public Works Statement and Estimates, the discussion lasting till 3.45 a.m. The Estimates were then passed in ten minutes. The House rose at 4 a.m. till, 2.30 p.m to-day.
