THE HOUSE.
The House met at 2.30 p.m. The following Bills were, introduced and’ read a first time—Noxious Weeds Amendment Bill (Hon Nos worthy), Orchard and Garden Diseases Amendment Bill (Hon Nosworthy); Stone Quarries Amendment Bill (Hon Massey); Nurses Registration Amendment Bill (Hon Parr); Land Drainage Amendment Bill (Hon Anderson); Bocal Railways Amendment Bill (Hon Contes). At the evening sitting Sir IV. Herries moved the second reading of the Housing Amendment Bill which passed all stages, after lengthy debate. By Governor’s message, the Education Amendment Bill was introduced. The chief feature of the measure is the increasing of the school age from 14 to 15, under certain circumstances. The Bill also - provides that after this ycai no State scholarship may he held at a denominational school. The House iftse at 2.50 a.m.
