WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE OKARITO RIDING AND SOUTH WESTLAND GENERALLY. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, AFTER being honored with your confidence for eighteen years past and serving you during that period to the best of my ability on the Wortland County Council, I regret I am not able again to offer my services. To tho numerous requests to allow inyself to be nominated for a further term of office, I regret I find myself for various reasons unable to reply in the affirmative. I desire, therefore, to thank you for your past confidence as well as for tho many promises to renew that confidence for a further term. During my representation I have attended closely to my duties. I have missed, I believe, only two meetings of the Council, and have always taken the closest interest in your affairs, with which my own have been identified closely. The Southern district has forged ahead in spite of many drawbacks, and now appears to be entering on a far more prosperous period. I congratulate the people on this outlook, for they well deserve brighter fortune. I shall watch , the advancement of the district with great interest personally, and can nssurd the electors that in the Council they have a useful body which has been ! bent ever upon ensuring the advanee--1 ment and development of South Werti land as a whole. f Again thanking you for your past confidence, and appreciating to the fullest the very cordial relations which have subsisted always, I am, Ladies and Gentlemen, Yours Obediently, 1 S. G. FERGUSON. j Ferngrove, Ferguson’s, |- October 21st., 192 Q.
