I ARAHURA STORE STOCK SALE. At the above yards yesterday Messri Jeffries and Co held a store cattle sale the yarding consisting of 178 head ol mixed cattle, most of which were rougl uneven lineti which gold at irregular prices compared with similar cattle offered in the district during the past few seasons. Good framed bullocks | sold well, however, and buyers were * evidently in search of that class of cattle rather than the smaller and mixed breed that was submitted. There was a good attendance and with one or two ; exceptions the whole of the yarding was Cleared. The following sales were recorded):— i On account of Mr A. Rea, 4.15-mos. j steers at £4 Bs, 3 ditto at £4, 1 stag at I£4 2s 6d. On account of Mr D. C. I Finch, 8 2J-yr steers at £8 18s 6d. On account of Mr W. Olderog, 13 fresh steers, 3-yr, at £lO 11s 6d, 8 2-yr old steers at £7 19s, 7 ditto at £5 10s, 5 18-rnos. steers at £7 ss, 4 2-yr. heifeis at £6, 2 yearling heifers at £4 2s'6d, 5 2-yr heifers at £5, 1 yearling bull at £3 2s 6d, 1 heifer (spgr.) at £7 12s 6d. On account of Mr D. Bradley, 4 steers at £7 10s, 1 dry cow at £7. On account Mr J. McGuiggan, 1 3-yr heifer at £6 ss. On account of Mr R. Speed, 1 2-yr heifer at £6. On account of Messrs Bond and Millett, 4 Holstein heifer calves at £5, 2 S.H. heifer calves at £3 ss. On account of Mr 1). Jellie, 6 yearling steers at £4 6s. On account of Mr Gerald Rea, i 2-yr steers at £7, 2 dry cows at £4 ,12 2-yr. steers at £6. On account of Mr # J. Ward, 2 heifer calves at £3 15,s 1 steer at £2 15s. M. Houston and Co. report as follows : —\Ve held a sale of store cattle at our Arahura Yards yesterday there, being a good attendance of buyers. There was go°d competition for well grown lines, but small and indifferent sorts were hard to quit. Wo sold 1 bullock at £ll/15/-, 3at £7/5/-, 1 at £l2/17/6, 1 heifer at £l2/17/6, 1 at £l2 5L 1 steer at £B, 2 heifers and 1 cow for £l3 for Mr J. Inglis; 3 2yr. heifears and 2 steers at £6/7/6 for Mr Wm. Wilson; 4 2Jyr. Steers at £lO/5/for Mr B. Haines; 9 3 and 4 yr. bullocks at £ll/17/6 for Inglis Bros, 3 yearling steers at £5 for Mr J. Muir senr.
