The Trimmers trouble at Newcastle cabled on 13th. has been settled, '.he stevedores having agreed to revert to the system in vogue prior to 1917 strike, of engaging men on the wharf instead through the Labour Bureau. FEDERAL CAPITAL QUESTION SYDNEY, Oct. 19. A big Labour demonstration at tho Town Hall was addressed by prominent leaders. . A resolution was --carried strongly condemning the Federal Government for not proceeding with tho J Federal Capital, their action being characterised as a breach of faith, and also protesting against the subjection of New South Wales interests to a centralised bureaucracy in Melbourne.
