The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Offenders Probation, and Westport Harbour Bills wer received from the House and read a first time. Five local Bills were read a second time. The Council rose at 3.42 p.m. until Wednesday. i THE HOUSE. I The House met at 2.30 p.m. Mr Massey moved the second reading of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement . Loans Bill, which proposed to ■ raise six millions for soldier settlement 1 purposes. Tho debate was lengthy, the Bill receiving unanimous support from all sides of the House. The Bill was TC ad a second time, on the voices, was put through committee and read a third time and passed without amendment. Tire House rose at 11.54 p.m.
