BIGGER SUGAR RATION THIS MONTH. The Daily Mail understands that,the priefe of imported (Government) butter is likely to be raised at Home from 2s 8d to 3s per lb., retail this month. The butter position will be Worse next, winter than it was during thfe war owing to the larger number of countries competing for supplies. It is doubtful whether Great Britain fill be abe to buy Danish butter on the expiration of the present contract, wlncli has ony a few weeks to run. The weekly sugar ration Will probite y ’be raised by 4 oz. to three-quarters of a pound per head this month. The prwo will he unaltered. The question of recontrolling eggs during the winter is being discussed by the Mims 5 The Ministry does not consider an immediate rise in the price of bread likely. !
