FRENCH IN AFRICA. Received this day at 2.36 p.m > LONDON, Sept 28. Reports from Tangiers give a vivid description of the French column's rapid complete conquest of Wnzzau. The arms of the French column included five tanks ,many aeroplanes, armoured cars, and eight batteries of guns. The Wnzzaus climbed on to the tanks and endeavoured to destroy them by striking them with heavy stones. The tribesmen finding resistance futile, capitulated.
