During police and military raids in Dublin, Countees Markievtz was arrested.

TIPPERARY FIRED

(Received this day at 1.30 p.m.) JIONDON, Sept. 27. All the principal shops in the town of Tipperary were destroyed by fire. K ,is believed this was done as a reprisal yfor the destruction of-the police barracks.
