It is not claimed that this remedy is free from limitations. - There are certain wants which mußt be satisfied, and no amount of abnegation will enable people to dispense with the necessaries of life. But there is undoutedly a large field in which it is applicable if we would only reconcile ourselves to do without superfluities for a longer/or shorter period. Moreover, if i abstinence is to produce the'xlesired result it must be fairly general.
