FIGHT IN DUBLIN STREET. LONDON, Sept, 20.
A party of Sinn Feiners met and attacked a military lorry in a Dublin street. There were twelve soldiers in it. The Sinn Feiners ordered them to hold up their arms'. Some soldiers obeyed. Others opened fire upgn the Sinn Feiners, wounding two £hem. The Sinn Feiners then rpturped thg fire. There was a sharp fusjlade. Pie Sjpn Feiners were eventually forced f,o flge, leaving their weapons.' Three wounded Sinn Feiners were taken prisoners Several of the soldiers were also seriously wounded. Two were killed. Opo of the Sinn Feiners is dead, and another is dying.

On behalf of MeSweeney’s friends it is stated that nothing is passing • his lips, except pure watermedicine composed of carbonate of soda and bismuth to counteract gastric juice, and the sacred water of the holy communions. Even if his - friends tried to introduce nourislrment he would refuse. Friends deny that alcohol was used during massage. s
