J The unjon meeting was held last pven j ing, Present: A. H, Lawn (chair); J) | Dee, A, and D, Dowell, T, Gillooly, j W. A, Berry, A .Cutbugh', H, Hnrker, j V. Bonar, T. Kerr and E. W. Heenan. i The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Mr McCullough waited on the Union with regard to arrangements being made for the visit of Reefton school team on Saturday, and if‘possible to secure financial asistance. It was resolved to vote Reefton boys £3 3s towards exponses and to allow the local school to retain remainder of the gates for their own expenses. Mr D. Dowell will officiate as referee. Mr D. Dee, Ross delegate, was authorised to communicate with four men who had been suspended by this Union. With regard to the presentation ball to be held this evening the committee hrgughjt in jts report. All the arrangements hgve bpen mode and the ball should be ope of the most successful ever held in Hokitika. It was resolved to hand complimentary tickets to captains, vice-captains, and secretaries of all teams. The committee will meet at 2.30 this afternoon to arrange with the Diggers fnr a flnonrn+imr nf thfl Hall.
