ADQINGTON STOGK MARKET.

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesterday,:— Fat Cattle. —the yarding was about the same as last week, bqt the. quality, was very indifferent, except in a. few instances was very indifferent. Prices, except tor the best stuff, showed ail casing tendency. Best bullocks sold to £35 l(js; prime, £23 ids to £2B; medium £l7 5s to £2l ids; grazers and inferior £l3 ids,to £l6 15s. Cows and heifers .sold in the shine proportion. ( , Store cattle.—A small yarding and very mixed entry, The market was. not quite so firm as last week, but there was no appreciable difference ancl very few quotable lilies were offering. Store sheep.—An average yarding, mainly of wethers and hoggets, which [ maintained recent rates. The market opened easier, but improved as the sale progressed. Best wethers sold to 40s Gd, others 33s to 36s lOd; best hoggets to 30s, a few ewe hoggets making 325, others from 24 s 6d to 28s; ewes to 395; others 27s 6d to 365. The market was firm for all best classes. Mutton.—The yarding was smaller than last week, but .quite sufficient for butchers’ requirements. The market opened in advance of last week, hut eased towards the finish. Best wethers sold to 54s <)d, prime 41s to 47s 9d; medium 33s 6cl to 395. Graziers were oper a ting from 34s 6d to 425, according to the quality of the wool.
