(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 9. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Dominion Rifle Association was presided over by Colonel R, JCollins, C.M.G. (Chief Executive Officer). The proposed programme, drawn up by the Executive Officer, was submitted and, with a few minor alterations, approved. Although drawn up on the lines of previous competitions, several new features have been introduced. The prize money amounts to £1750. A Champion Service Team Aggregate has been established, and the conditions affecting Service matches have been brought into line with the principles governing military competitions. In the King’s Prize, the total prize list is made up to £2OO, the Champion Rifle Belt, Gold Medal, Gold Badge, and £SO being awarded to- the rifle champion. The highest aggregate scorer in both series will receive a gold medal to commemorate the. fact that he is the best shot in all the individual competitions.

Provision has been made for a new competition for Senior Cadets, and seven aggregate prizes for such Cadets as they fire throughout tho meeting. The Territorial Championship, on the lines of the “Army Championship” in Great Britain, is to be introduced. It will bo open to one representative from each unit of tlie Territorial I‘orco, including Senior Cadets. The “1920” target is to be adopted for all competitions up to 600 yards. It is circular, and coloured a very light grey in the upper half and sand colour in lower half. It is mounted on a square frame, 4 feet by 4 feet, foi 200 and 300 yards, and 6 feet by 6 feet for 500 and.6oo yards. The upper half only of the bullseye is black as a-u aiming mark. Tig; “bullseye” target will be 1 used for ranges from 800 yards to 1000 yards. The following team lias been .chosen for Australia: Riflemen Croxton, Lovely West (returning frogi Bisley), D.. J.* Guiney (Wellington), Williams (Olmra), Roots (Patea), Masefield (Sounds), King (Masterton.), Bolton (Pahiatua), Barple (Christchurch). Emergencies—Patrick (Auckland), H. Loveday (Ohiira), Govenlock (Lmton), Hunt (Wellington) and Feast (Wairarapa\ Major Doull has been appointed commander. The te*m competes, at the New South Wales Meeting W October, the Commonwealth Meeting m ; e - bourne, and the Empire Rifle Match.
