AN AIR SERVICE. - (Received this day at 9.30 a.rn.) pfa’TAWA, August 18. It is announced that the Canadian Air Board will soon establish a trans-eon tinental air route with express aeroplanes offering a fifty hour service between Halifax and Vancouver, carrying passengers, mails and light freight. Control stations will be estazlished at intervals of twenty miles with air ports at all the principal, cities along tjie route.
) TO HELP POLAND. , (Received this day. at 9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, August 16. Exchanges of views are occurring between United States and European Governments, with a view to determining on a plan of cooperation to assist Poland, should the latter be in danger of losing her independence. It is understood the Polish situation was discussed at. a Cabinet meeting at which it wav indicated that a substantial agreement as to the method to be pursued will be reached amqng the .Allies
