Bell, it was decided to ask the House for further information regarding the i enroll for disagreement with tho ame vun-ints made by tho Council in the (Liming Bill. Tho Licensing Amendment Bill (Hon H M Baar, was introduced and read a first time. Sir F. D. Bell moved the scceu 1 >ead ing of tho Masseurs Bill, which was agreed to after a brief debate. The Juries Act Asienduumt, (lion McGregor), was read a third time. The Couneii rose at 3.10
THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. The afternoon was spent iti discussing the Defenco Department report, which the Minister land on the table. At the evening sitting the following Bills wore passedWanganui Borough Empowering; Hawkes Bay Rivers Amendment; Statutes-Repeal; Agricultural and Pastoral Societys’ Amendment. The House rose at 10.53 p.m.
