IRISH DEPUTATION: (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, August 4

The Irish deputation includes Nationalists. It brought resolutions carried by a Conference at Cork representing all creeds. The resolutions totally object to the Restoration of order in Ireland Bill, which is calculated to increase the discontent.

CURFEW ENFORCED. (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, August 4. Curfew was enforced at' Charleville and Kilinallook, County Limerick. This is significant, because Charleville is Dr Mannix’s birthplace. A fete there was arranged which will be STannix’s first function in Ireland. Town entrenchments are being strengthened. Sinn Foiners at night time tore up 240 feet of railway outside Belfast to prevent troops reaching Burton Port. They also dislodged many heavy boulders completely blocking the line. The work involved enormous labour. The Irish deputation after a further interview with Lloyd George report satisfactory results. IRISH UNIONISTS’ ATTITUDE. LONDON, August 5. A deputation representing the Irish Unionists other than those in Ulster, the members coming from Dublin and Cork, have just presented to the Britisli Government a request for Homo Rule for Ireland. The deputation waited on Mr Lloyd George and Mr Bonar Law and Sir H. A. Greenwood (Chief Secretary for Ireland. They urged the establishment of a Dominion Home Rule form of Govern, ment in Ireland.

The deputation will later on revisit the Minsters at Downing Street after a Cabinet meeting is held. i SINN FEINERS. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 5. Sirin Feiners at Londonderry' lasi night burned Moville Courthouse.
