MANNIX NOT TO LAND
(Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 5. Hon. Lloyd George further questioned in the Commons, said Government’s "decision was that Dr Mannix would not be permitted to land in Ireland. The necessary steps *were being taken to make this decision effective. Mr Wedgewood asked—“ls it not in the best interest of this country to allow Mannix to go to Ireland.” Hon. Lloyd George—“No, I don’t think'so.’l (Cheers) A RECEPTION PROMISED. (Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) • LONDON, Aug s.'' Liveipool branch of the. United Irish League announces it is arranging to give Dr Mannix a greater reception than nnv Irishman visiting Liverpool.
