WEDDING BELLS.
SEAItLG—PARK. A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at the Church of Christ, Wai1110a Road, Nelson, on Wednesday, July 2rith, at 11 a.m., the contracting parties being Miss Graee Jane l'aik, eldest daughter of -\lr and Mrs George J'ark ol lvawai street, and ioriuerly ol Ukanto, South Westland, and Mr William Searle, eldest soji oi Mr and Mrs William Searie oi llari Hari, South Westland. 'l'lie biide who was given away by her iather, looked charming, dressed in ivory silk trimmed with pearls, and wore the usual orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of azalias and maiden hair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Dorothy Park and Miss Edna Pamment as bridesmaids, who wore pale blue and pink crepe do clicne, trimmed with shadow lace and touches of black velvet, with picture hats of black tulle to match. Mr A. Searie, brother of the bridegroom, carried out the duties of best man, while Mr G. Searie acted as groomsman. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the photographers and afterwards to the residence of the bride’s parents, where a sumptuous dinner was partaken of and the usual toasts honoured. The happy couple then left by motor car for Blenheim en route for the North Island, where the honeymoon is to be spent before returning to their future home in Hari Hari. The bride’s travelling costume was of nigger brown serge with hat and furs to match.
PAGANINI—SWEENEY. A very pretty wedding was celebrated yesterday morning at St Patrick’s Church, Greymouth, the contracting parties being Miss Annie Sweeney, of llewanui, and Mr Peter Paganini of Okarito Forks. The llcv Father Aubry celebrated . Nuptial Mass. The bride was given-away by her father, Mr J. Sweeney, and looked very happy. She wore a tailor-made costume and a blue velour hat, and was attended by her sister -Miss Bridie Sweeney as bridesmaid. Mr J. Sweeney junr., officiated as groomsman. The happy pair were the recipients of many beautiful and costly presents, including several cheques. The wedding breakfast was partaken of at Barker’s Tea Rooms, and after tiro usual toasts were honoured, the happy couple left by the express amidst showers of rice and good wishes.
