The Rev. E. D. Patchett, of St. Jehu’s Methodist Church, Nelson, has been invited to the East Bolt Methodist Church, Christchurch, and will be leaving Nelson next April. The Rev. H. L. The death, took place to-day of a very old West Coaster in the person of Mr James Kerr, at the Old Peoples’ Home, Tvumara. T.he deceased had been an inmate for some seven or eight months, and for many years previous had been a respected resident of Kanieri district. Deceased had attained the very ripe age of 98 years, and has no relatives in the district.

Two rather amusing incidents happened in the Magistrate’s Court Westport on Tuesday says the Westport “Times”.
