IMPERIAL WOOL PURCHASE.

INTERIM PAYMENT OF PROFITS. WELLINGTON, July 10. The Prime Minister, as Minister in charge of the Department of Imperial Government Supplies, lias issued a letter in the following terms' to all wool brokers in the Dominion:—

“It is expected that an interim payment on account of profits arising under the Imperial Government wool purchase will shortly be made to cover the period to March 31st, 1919. It has been arranged that the payments shall lie made by the Department of Imperial Government Supplies direct to growers. As a preliminary - step, 1 should be pleased if you would furnish that Department with a statement to show particulars of payments: (a) From November Ist, 191(5, to October 31st, 1917. (b) From November Ist, 1917, to October 31st, 1918.

(c) From November Ist, 1918, to October 31st, 1919. I shall be pleased it you would arrange that the statement be in agreement with the others of the purchase money already balanced with the Department of Imperial Government Supplies, and I “would further ask that it bo certified ns correct in the usual manner. I should also be much obliged if you would allow this matter to receive your early attention, in order that the information may ho available at the earliest possible moment.
