Tn the Victorian Assembly, the ecu sure debate lias been interrupted to permit the Treasurer to introduce the supplementary estimates showing the merei'sed expenditure was almost a million. The Treasurer estimated the revenue at £15,393,000 and expenditure at £15,243,000 making the surplus £150,000 instead of £50,000 ns estimated.
