A RAH UR A FAT STOCK SALE. At tlie above Yards yesterday there was a. small yarding of cattle caused by the absence of advertised lines through floods -in the South and as a result competition was keen and prices dear. Messrs W. J'offries and Co. sold on account, Mr T. O’Neill, one pen of 26 fat owes and wethers at 32/-, one pen of 30 fat ewes and wethers at 31/6. On account Air H. Reynolds, 1 cow at £l6/2/6, 1 at £lO/17/6, 2 heifers at £ll, 1 Bullock at £l4/17/6, 2 at £lO/15/-, 1 stag at £9/5/-. Messrs AI. Houston and Co report as follows: —We held our fortnightly sale at the above yards yesterday, there being a good attendance of buyers. Owing to the very short entry at the sale, prices advanced considerably, and some of the butchers were unable to secure their usual requirements. Beef was 55s to 60s per hundred. We sold on account of Diedrich’s Estate 2 bullocks at £2l. 2 at £ls ss, 2 heifers at £l7, 3 at £l4 ss. 2 at £ll 17s fid, 3 at £ll 17s fid. On account of Air AY. E. Diedriclis, 1 stag at £22, I at £l7 10s. On account of Mr J. Alonk, 1 stag at £8 17s 6d. On account of Mr P. Douglas, 2 heifers at £l2 Lbs, 1 at £l2 2s fid, 1 at £9 2s fid, 1 vealer at £4 15s, 1 heifer at £l2 12s 6d, 2 at £lO 15s.
