—— POLLARD’S PICTURES. WEDNESDAY. On Wednesday, Pollard’s Pictures present a big Paralta feature entitled “ The ■Maid ol tlie Storm,” featuring the popular screen artist Bessie Rarriscale. As “ Ariel,” Bessie Barriseale is seen in the role of a little unit in a lisliing village of Scotland, whose destiny is shaped by the falling of an aeroplane from the sky. How the little girl falls in love with the young aristocrat who is injured in the crash, and how she follows him to London, where she becomes the idol of that city, presents Miss Barriseale in one of the most convincing roles in which she has appeared. A comedy, scenic and Topical completes the programme. On Thursday, Tom Moore in “Just for To-Night” will be Pollard’s star attraction.
McLEAN’S PICTURES. GRAND BENEFIT TO-NIGHT. Mr McLean is giving to-night at tho Princess Theatre, a grand benefit picture entertainment in aid of the funds of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. The programme is a specially selected one, and is headed by-the great Fox drama, “The Cailleux Case,” in which the full details of the great French political upheaval is given in most tense and attractive form. The situations are of an enthralling nature, and have caused great interest wherever shown. There will also be a full supporting programme including eomody, scenic and Gazette.
