POLLARD’S PICTURES. “ GI'NGUR MICK.”—'TO-NJGIIT. “ Ginger Mick,” it is said, is not in any sense a war picture. It simply shows in two or three of the closing scenes Mick’s behaviour in khaki and glimpses of his better self in the firing line at Gallipoli, where the lays down his life for his friend. It is a comprehensive six-reel production iii which is included some of “ The Sentimental Bloke ” characters, including the Bloke and Doreen. The sub-titles include the best excerpts from Dennis’s work, and the scenes arc set in Berry, Sydney and Gallipoli. Mr Raymond Longford, who also produced “ The Sentimental Bloke” is responsible for the entire production, and it is claimed that he has eclipsed himself in perfecting a superfeature that will commend itself to all who love Australasia and her noble sons. The “ Scottish Australasian ” says:— “We feel that Mr Dennis has laid his native land under a debt of gratitude. Happy will he be when looking back over the yea rs, lie will see transplanted into every day life the ideals he has so attractively set before us. He does not only entertain us, lie teaches us the deep things of life. “ Gin gey Mick ”is undoubtedly a great sequel to “ The Sentimental Bloke.” It packed the Town TTall, Melbourne, every day and night during its long run, and critics and picture followers generally were unanimous in unqualified praise. The sole exhibiting rights of “ Ginger Mick ” have been acquired bv Mr K. J. Carroll, and it will lie presented with special musical accompaniment at the Princess Theatre to-night. The prices are: circle 2s Id, stalls Is Id.
