FRIDAY, JULY 9th., 1920. A special meting of the Westland Licensing Dench was held at noon, Pre- , sent—Messrs E. C ! . Levvey S.M. (Chair- j man), C. J. Nightingale and F. McGregor, The adjourned application of Thomas Foster for a new license at Wataron was heard, air Murdoch appearing for- applicant, Inspector Cruickshank and Mergt. McCarthy watching on behalf of the police, neither raising any legal objection. After hearing the evidence of Mr Keating, Clerk of the Grey County Council in reference to a. lapsed license of Mrs Hinnigaii, and the applicant and his brother, the Bench decided to grant the request for an accommodation Beene on flic plans of the house as presented in Court. The application of John Morrisoy, for a detached billiard room license for To Kinga, was refused, there being no one present to support this application.
