(By Electric Telegraph—Cbtvrtghi.> GRAND NATIONAL HURDLES. MELBOURNE, July 3. The Melbourne Grand National Hurdles resulted as follows: —Sandule, (Wil Hams), 1, Bright Plume 2, Tulliah 3. Ninteen started. Tullilah was the quickest away, with Pistolier and Suma next. Sandule took charge before they reached the bridge, followed by Yougal, Merry Rob and Tullilah. At the next jump Two Blues, Pistolier and Colonel Knut fell. Passing the stand Captain W. and Mineon lost their riders, Mineeon falling and breakikg his neck. Sandule was never headed and stalling off a bold bid by Bright Plume won by two lengths. • Time 5.4—a record for the race. Beltane got badly away and finished fifth. HIGH PRICED YEARLINGS: LONDON, July 1. High prices were paid at Newmarket yearling sales. A Sunstar —She Colt brought 7000 guineas; a Pommeran-Pre fernment colt, 3100; and a TetraichPamfleta filly 5100.
