CORDIAL INTERVIEW WITH COMMISSIONER.

WELLINGTON, July 2

Delegates to the Public Service Association Conference met file Commissioner and submitted to him the various rests passed during its deliberations. A reporter was informed subsequently that the new Commisioner welcomed the members, and the interview was most cordial on both sides. Both the Commissioner, (Mr W. R. Morris), and th c Assistant-Commissioner, (Mr F. V. Frazer), created a most, favourable impression, and, in fact, the reception was one which would inspire the utmost con. fidece of the service in the impartiality of the Commissioners in anfcr matters which might he submitted for their consideration.

The following officers were elected: President, Mr W. M. Wright; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs J. H. Jerram, R. Sinei, C.’M. Hill, H .11, Spencer, W. M. White ,L. B. Jordan D. Rankin* treasurer, Mr B. L. DaHard; executive committee: Auckland, Mr J. 11. Jerram; South Auckland and Waikato, Mr P. A. Macomish; Gisborne, Mr T. W. M. Ashley; Hawke’s Bay, Mt; J. R. McClune; Taranaki, Wanganui, and Palmerston North, Mr F. F. Laurenson; Wellington, Mr W. H. Phillips and Mr W. E. Gladstone; Marlborough, Mr A. Burgess; Nelson, Mr. B. A. Ginger; West Coast, Mr A. C. Pliilpott; Canterbury and South Canterbury, Mr J. A. Campbell; Otago, Mr J. F. Quinn; Southland, Mr J. J. Furlong; lady representatives,- Misses B. Trevithick and L. E. Larchin. Police representatives, Detective-Sergeant A. E. Andrewes, Constables W. Thom and E. C. Jerrold. Messrs Wriglit, Jerram, and Millar were elected as representatives on the Council of State Services.
