The King witnessed Clyde regatta in which his yacht Brittannia after a bad start from scratch, secured and maintained the lead to the home turn, where the breeze failed enabling the light weather boat Myria to beat her. Oxford colleges won five of Henley races. Thames Rowing Club won the remaining three. LONDON, July 3. In the Diamond Sculls, Bercsford led throughout and won easily by three lengths. Time 8.57.
