Lion affirming that the Australian Parliament deplores the state of martial law in Ireland, and stating that: “This House is of the opinion that the situation thus created by martial law is inimical to the British Empire, and that tire conflicts with the theory that Britain entered the late war. to vindicate and to preserve the liberty of small nations.” Further, that copies of this resolution are to be forwarded to the British Government, to President Wilson, and to the Secretary of the Council of the League of Nations, (Mr Esino Howard.)
