In the Assembly, the Premier stated the General Council of Natives in Transkei district passed a resolution r.s a reply to Republican propaganda, affirming , allegiance to the crown, fn the event of a republic being established, the Council demanded the right of self-determination, with a view to being brought under direct control of the Imperial Government.
