! I SUPREME COURT. GlSllOllNE, Juno 28. At tho Supreme Court criminal session, befojre Judge Sim, Walter Plain, for obscene exposure, on two charges, was sentenced to twelve months on each charge, the sentences to he cumulative. Fred. Jones, for obtaining money by means of false pretences, got 12 months’ imprisonment, and was declared an habitual criminal. Ruku Haengi was found guilty of theft, and was sentenced to three years’ reformative treatment. Joei Tupara, for theft of a heifer, was released on probation for three years, and his Honour ordered a prohibition order to he issued against Tupara.
RAILWAY FATALITY. WELLINGTON, June ‘2B. Carrying a tin of kerosene, in a sack slung over his shoulder, Frederick Thompson, a wharf labourer, residing in Petone, attempted this evening to board a train at Lambton Station after it had gathered a fair speed. The, gate of the carriage was closed. Thompson lost his balance and fell the iast two carriages. The wheel of the last carriage passed over both his legs and one arm. Thompson was removed to the hospital' where he died late at night.
ELECTRIC POWER, BLENHEIM, June 28. A conference of delegates from tinlocal rating authorities of Marlborough Nelson and Buller districts was held at Blenheim on hydro-electrical power. The conference unanimously decided to take steps to form an Electric Power Board, with a view to the development of a comprehensive hydro-electric scheme for the northern portion of the South Island. Arrangements were made to secure the necessary petitions to the Government in the various districts.

September 1874 at Masterton, he married Bridget Higgins and on (ith. August. 1019 at Palmerston lie went through the form of marriage with Annie l.aurenson. thus committing bigamy.
