SINN FEIN ATTACKS. LONDON Ju|no 28. Some disguised men raided a fishing hut at Castlo Mownroche in/ County Cork, whore Brigadier-General Lucas and two Colonels were sleeping after several days of sport. The raiders seizer the sleepers in the namo of the Irish Republic. They
seized their motor car, from which Colonel jumped in an attempt to escape, but lie was shot seriously. The i- Jr* o ther Colonel was permitted to attend to his colleague, who was taken to Fermoy Hospital. The Sinn Fe'ners de- ' parted with Lucas to an unknown desj tination.
\ About 200 armed men attacked the ■Borrisoknne Barracks, near Monagh, in. the early honrs. A sergeant anil six constables stubbornly defended. They were firing for three hours. The ■attackers who threw back turf sods, saturated ’with petrol, set firo to the barracks, the roof of tho building being shattered. The raiders then departed at daybreak. They aro believ,.Ml to have suffered casualties.
