McLEAN’S PrGTURES, , TOM MIX. TO-NIGHT! TO-NIGHT! ' Mr H. JlcLcan announces he has secured the great picture play entitled ‘Trent ’em Rough,” starring Tom Mix. Tom was at Prescott Arizona, while making the scenes for “Treat ’em Rough.” For a time the ranges in that section were his stamping grounds. About six years ago he determined to join.’a nation wide society that had a branch there and he prepared for his initiation. On the night of the initiation Tom went to the hall which was located on the second floor of a two-stor_ ey frame building. He was blindfolded. They sat him in a chair. Suddenly he heard some one say: “Now the auestion is, do we want him in our society?” Another' voice answered: “I say no. He is a murderer, a horse thief a rustler, and beats his mother: Throw him out the window.” They did. The members had arranged with the fire department to stretch a net under the window, but the firemen were holding the net under the wrong window. As Tom fell, ho stretched out his hand and caught hold of a vine which prevented him from landing on his back on the very hard earth. As first the initiator s were stunned when they learned the net was not under the window, but'wore soon relieved by seeing Tom walking up the stairs with his usual smile. There was no more initiation. He rides down a steep hill in an empty wagon to batter away the bandits’ but, and performs one of the amazing stunts ever seen on the screen—that of bulldogging the lgad ing steer of a herd of stampeded cattle, just. as the herd is about, to trample his sweetheart. Naturally you would think the girl would express gratitude, l,ut she calls him a coward. There is a reason and a gripping one, too. The supporting items include further chapters of the serial and a comedy.
