Quiet lias been restored at Trieste; the Government are using military engineers and marines as volunteers to run the train loads of munitions. The strike is known as the “white strike.” The railwnymen simply fold their arms and do not leave the stations. Passengers are compelled to disembark or depart ten-miles outside the city.
TRIBESMEN 5 SUBMIT . ROME, June 13. Advices from Tangiers states that after several years of intermittent fighting and serious losses, the French .authorities have secured the submission of the powerful Zain tribesmen inhabiting the western slopes of the Lesser Atlas. Great reconciliation fetes were held. The tribesmen restored fee captured trophies. The submission opens the important direct route from Tez to Narra. kesh.
