In the Commons, replying to Mr 1 Gretton regarding bis conversation with Krassin, Hon Lloyd George recalled that the Supreme Council at San Remo on April 26th, decided that Al- * lied representatives should meet Krassin..and other Russian trade delegates, except Litvinoff, in London. Krassin besides heading the delegation representing Russian co-operative organisa- ; tions, was also a Soviet Government Minister, and therefore acted in the name and authority of the Soviet Government. Hon Lloyd George thought Krassin was not originally a German a went. He was associated with a German electrical firm, but was a Russian. Government wanted to settle certain . questions before undertaking negotiations.
