WARSHIPS AT CRIMEA. LONDON June 1

In the Commons, Hon Long stated that British warships were protecting sea communications in Crimea, until n armistice was arranged between Wrangels Army and Soviet Russia. Negotiations in this connection would be gin shortly. Warships were intended j to prevent a Bolshevist attack along j the Black Sea coast and the_. road to Batoum, and to support the garrison at Batoum. Hon. ’Long denied Britain was at war with Soviet Russia. Tho Admiralty was strictly carrying .put the policy laid down by the Premier in eho Commons, and was only taking ordinary precautionary measures in the Black Sea, necessitated by the policy of the Allies.
