CORRESPONDENCE.
SOUTH AFRICAN VETERANS. (To the Editor.) Sir,—Can any of your readers inform mo if there is a South African Veterans’ Association on the West Coast ? I ask the question for the reason* that the different Veterans Associations Throughout the Dominion are getting busy with the object of inducing the Government to extend to the Boer war men the benfits of the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act. Already in different districts deputations have waited upon Ms.P. and secured promises of support. As rar as this district is concerned, Mr Seddon some months ago gave his papmiso of support. In the eravt of there being no Association on thoWwt Coast, will all South African Veterans forward me their addresses, etc. With your reputation for justice and fair play, Mr Editor, we are assured of your support for the above movement. —I am., etc., S. BAIRD. Waitaha, Westland. ,
