SPA CONFERENCE.
LONDON, May 25. The Spa Conference is unlikely to consist of more than a Council of four.
The calling of the Dominion representatives into the consultation in Britain aims at a revival of the Empire peace delegation, in order to discuss the various matters, particularly the financial ones, which are to come before the Spa Conference, and thus to fortify Mr Lloyd George on the Dominions views thereon.
LONDON, -May 25
Sir James Allen, if he arrives in time will represent New Zealand at the discussions of the agenda of the Spa conference. Otherwise Lord Milner will represent New Zealand.
TRANSFER OF THRACE. LONDON, May 26
The “Daily Express” Constantinople correspondent reports that a ollision between the Greeks and the Turks in Thrace (the Turkish territory given'to Greece by the Allies) is inevitable.
The Greeks are now concentrating in the former Bulgarian portion {jf the province of Thrace. At the same time their opponents, under regular officers are mobilising. Under the leadership of the Adrianople Moslems 21/ delegates to the National Turkish Congress at Adrianople, have signed a declaration that Thrace is.essentially Moslem territory, and that they would resist the Greeks attempt to occupy it by force of arms .
Numerous protests to the Allies ire also being preapred.
CONFERENCE POSTPONED. (Received this day at 9.30 n.m.) LONDON, May 25
An Allied Note has been presented to the German Government suggesting the postponement of the Spa Conference to 21st June, in view 'of the German elections. It- emphasises the undesirability of the conference being distracted or delayed by external preoccupations, if held at an earlier date.
