PEACE TREATY

Gardiner, writing to the “Daily News” from Berlin, says that after hav_ ing interviewed the leading German politicians and economists, he considers that if the coining Spa conference does not stop the International dissolution going on, then Germany will bee a corpse which will poison the world. 1 Her essential requirements are :—Credits for food, raw materials, a limited indemnity, and some accommodation in the matter of shipping. The present German Government only possesses the shadow of power, but it is the only combination that can keep tho country on its feet.
