RUSSIAN MIX-UP
(By Electric Teicgrapn—Colyriglil.i CASPIAN SEA POSITION. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) DELHI, May 94. The seizure of Baku proved the prelude Ho the renewal of Bolshevik activities in the Caspian area. The object of the attack on Enzeli on the 18th was the recovery of some ships of the Russian volunteer army, which made their way thither from Baku and had been interned. The Soviet Commander demanded tho ships, declaring' he had no designs against the British, and he promised to retire from Enzeli, having achieved his purpose. In order to avoid a collision, the British armed forces were withdrawn, pending negotiations between the? British arid Soviet Commander. All was quiet in Reslit and \ Enzeli on the 20th., but further activity was reported in the direction of Astara, a Caspian Sea port on the Persian frontier, one hundred miles north of Enzeli.
