Yesterday’s outbreak of guerilla warfare in Ireland recalls the Easter outrages. Bombs were used in a nuniber of cases. A human hand was found near pne raid, apparently accidentally blown off a Sinn Feinner. Most of the police barracks were unoccupied and the destruction was quite wanton. The cost will fall on the local ratepayers, many of whom are Sinn Feiners. Where the barracks were occupied by sergeants and their families, their ownings were bundled out in the small hours of the morning by armed lnasiftsd men. The children were terrified to see their homes .Burning. LONDON, "May 13. Lord Birkenhead, .speaking on the newspaper press fund, said Government had just taken special and wholly exceptional steps to reinforce the Trish constabulary force whose moral never had faltered. It was well known 'hat when men go upon their most dangerous task to-night that Government is adding to their number, men who have -already fought for the Empire and are now going to devote themselves to the task of determining whether murderers in Ireland are strong enough to destroy the Empire.
