Although there is considerable lesentinent at tho severity of the peace terms the police maintain order in the crowded streets and there are no anti-Ally ./demonstrations. It is reported' the Young Turks are engineering opposition to the Treaty in the hope of securing more favourable terms. SPA CONFERENCE. (Received this day at 8 a.m.), LONDON, May ]2. It is undersood Britain and France will agree to slight postponement of the Spa Conference to meet Germany’s wishes. It is unlikely the Italian crisis will affect the Italian representation at Spa, as it is expected Signor Nitti, will resume the Premiership.
