FOOTBALL.
At Blackball on Saturday in the League game Kohinoors (Grey) defeated Blackball by 9 to 6. At Greymouth in the senior Rugby game, Marists defeated United by 3 to 0. At Victoria Park on Saturday morning Hokitika High School defeated the Grey District High School by 14 points to nil. Mr H. Bowman had charge of the whistfc. On Cass 'Square on Saturday, the opening game of the season between Excelsiors and Kiwis, resulted in a win for Excelsiors by 22 to 15. Mr B. Dowell had charge of the game. To-night two meetings of junior clubs will be held at Hokitika at 7 o’clock. The supporters of the Kiwi Club meet at Mclntosh’s Club itooms, and those of the Excelsior Club at Keller’s sample rooms. On Tuesday night, the senior members of all clubs will meet at 7 o’clock at Mclntosh’s rooms to form a senior team for tho Southern Division. Full attendances are requested for all meetings to enable a good start to be made. Next Saturday the local senior football fixtures will open, when the seniors play Marists (Grey) on Cass Square, and Kiwi and Excelsiors, juniors, will also meet; the latter at 1.30 p.m. Practices will he held on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Ross are also entering a junior team.
