aeroplane improvement. (Received this day at 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, May 9. Handley-Page’s improved design for aeroplane wings has passed official tests and will enable loads to bo increased 20 to 40 per cent, and also permit aeroplanes to ascend and alight within smaller grounds. The improvement can / I, e fitted to any existing wing. It is regarded as a great forward step m giving designers a bigger margin whereby the strength, safety and comfort of aeroplanes can be increased.
