The Governor left in the latter and was followed by an emergency train at 1,45 a.m. The Prince walked to the station at 12.30 a.m. going through the yard via Wliaka road. Tim party included uotne Maori girls who started native sonos and entered into the spirit of things. He shook hands with each member of the informal escort. Cheers were given for the Prince a pel other members of tho Royal family. A Considerable number of people remained on the platform till the. departure of the Prince’s train.
