The “ Manchester Guardian’s ” Dublin correspondent insists that despite appearances, the church stands between Government and Irish anarchy. It is unquestionable that a majority of the bishops and priests constantly risk their popularity by counselling patience and observance of ..the laws. Government oucdit to put a greater value on clerical co-operation, and therefore abandon the provocative Education Bill.
