It is understood that the Council lias decided that- Mr Wilson’s suggested amendments to the Turkish Treaty could not be conceded. THE TURKISH SETTLEMENT. (Imperial News Service). (Received This Day at 1.5. p.m.) LONDON, April 21. The San Remo Conference decided to appoint a Commission to control Turkish finances. Military and naval experts pointed out the difficulty of executing tile proposed treaty, especially as regarding Erzerurn, with a whole Turkish army corps still entrenched and as regarding Anatolia, where numerous hands are still operating. It is considered that Inter-Allied coercive military measures wdl probably be necessary. British .views wpro accepted without dissentiop.
