Several prominent men connected with Papua, including the Bishop of the Catholic Mission in the territory, write to the press traversing Captain Pitch’s statement regarding the cau.se.-> of dissatisfaction. One summarises the position saying the trouble was caused through the Administrations policy of developing the country and safeguarding the interests of the natives, which clashes with commercial interests.
