AUCKLAND, April 13. The Presbyterian Assembly to-night considered the case of the Rev A. AMurray, of St Andrew’s Church. Qn the report of the clerk* of the Presbytery, who read the finding of the General'Assembly, the Rev I. Jolly moved: “T|iat tlie Presbytery appoint a representative committee to confer with Mr Murray, and report at the pext meeting of the Presbytery with a recommendation as to the course they would advise the Presbytery to follow.” The Rev James Patti son moved an amendment: “That -the commtitce make its recommendation without conferring with Air Murray, seeing that his position in respect to infant, baptism had undergone no change.’ This was not seconded, and Mr John Copn-ie. elder of St Andrew’s moved: if That the ease he dealt with, forthwith,” and Mr Murray, who had already asked for the matter to be Pidod at that meeting, seconded the motion, amid laughter. Mr Jolly’s motion was carried, aiu Mr Murrav then loft the meeting.
